Petone Beach(Acrylic paint commission) Petone is a charming, quaint seaside town that is dear to my client's heart. Pictured here is the iconic Petone wharf and waterfront. I loved painting the classic NZ flax in the forefront of this painting. | Tiny Dancers(Acrylic paint) This painting was nostalgic for me to create as it reminded me of all of the time I spent on stage dancing from when I was a little child until my late teens. Still love it to this day! | Bali Sunrise(Acrylic paint) I took the photograph that inspired this painting after hiking up Mount Batur at 4:00 am or so in the morning to catch the sunrise in Bali, Indonesia. Bali is a beautiful place that I highly recommend visiting! It was really fun working with such rich warm colours. |

Joy(Mixed media - coloured pencil/acrylic paint) I can't help smiling when I look at this piece. This woman exudes so much joy! This was my first portrait attempt since I was in highschool. | Titikaveka Beach(Acrylic paint) I took the photo that inspired this painting while on vacation in the Cook Islands on the beautiful, quaint island of Rarotonga. | Cable Bay(Acrylic paint commission) This beach is located in stunning Northland, New Zealand and is where my client's now husband decided to ask her to be his wife. |
Ode to the West Coast of Canada(Acrylic paint) The idea for this painting developed from the homesickness I initially felt after first coming to New Zealand. I will always have a deep love and appreciation for my home country of Canada. This is my love letter to Canada. | "Cuppa"(Acrylic paint) I wanted this painting to depict what it feels like when we take a simple moment for ourselves to enjoy a nice, hot cup of tea. The comforting sound of the tea pouring into your favourite cup. The feeling of a nice warm hug on a rainy day. The feeling of home. | Family(Coloured pencil) This piece was inspired by a beautiful moment capturing a new family of Balinese long-tailed monkeys in front of the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal Temple in Bali, Indonesia. Chaos broke out again shortly after! |
The Rose(Acrylic paint) A piece having fun mixing realism with abstract. I captured the photo of this rose while visiting a beautiful botanical garden. I have always loved intricate henna designs and have wanted to somehow incorporate them into my art, especially after visiting India. Henna is adorned during weddings and joyful festivities, adding a sense of light-hearted celebration to this piece. | Blooming Lotus(Acrylic paint) This piece seeks to embody the peace and tranquility that meditation and yoga practice can cultivate within oneself. | The Lion(Coloured pencil) Lions are incredible creatures whose presence provoke an air of awe and respect; a beautiful animal of strength. I was also drawn to this challenge because of the detailed work involved in the fur and lines of the face. |
